There’s no better time to paint the ocean plein air than in September. The crowds are gone and the temperature is almost perfect.
Join me Monday, Sept 21st at the beautiful Jersey shore and learn all the basic techniques for painting successful seascapes. This is a comprehensive, intense day of painting on location designed to give the participant a full understanding of painting the sea.The day starts with a lecture and paint demo, followed by students successfully completing one painting. Includes:
A pallette & color system
for painting the sea
Anatomy of the wave
Foam & foam patterns
Capturing atmosphere
Sky & clouds, much more
Recommended materials:
11 x14 canvas or bigger
Paints: Titanium white, ivory black, ultramarine blue, alizarin crimson, cad yellow light,(also known as lemon yellow)
